TN: Rs 1,117 cr to 11L farmers for crop damage

Tamil Nadu chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Monday announced relief of ₹1,117 crore, under input subsidy head, as damages to farmers who have suffered agricultural and horticultural crop loss in the January rain in various parts of the state. An inter-ministerial central team will visit the state on February 3, 4 and 5 and assess the damage in the affected districts to report to the Centre for assistance.
