Panchayat councillor beheaded in TN's Tiruvarur

A 38-year-old panchayat union councillor was hacked to death by an unidentified gang near Muthupettai in Tiruvarur district on Monday. The deceased was identified as Rajesh, affiliated to AIADMK. Police said that the gang severed the victim’s head.
