Tamil Nadu: Tangedco employees to protest today

Tangedco workers' unions have announced a day's strike on Wednesday in support of the farmers' protest and against privatization of electricity sector. The strike is part of a nationwide boycott of work by staff working in the power sector against the central government's move to privatise the distribution of electricity as mentioned in the Electricity (Amendment) Bill, 2020
