Despite crisis, more projects get CMDA nod

Amid the churn in the real estate sector in the city due to the still-raging Covid-19 pandemic, the number of planning permissions issued by the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority in the past seven months has surprisingly surpassed the number issued in the corresponding period in 2019. However, a majority of these projects are unlikely to take shape since the ongoing projects have been delayed by at least six months.
