TN govt pays Rs 68cr for J Jayalalithaa’s home

The Tamil Nadu government is now owner of Veda Nilayam, the residence of late chief minister J Jayalalithaa, along with the income tax department. The government has deposited in a city civil court 67.9crore, which includes compensation to J Deepa and J Deepak, legal heirs of the ex-chief minister, and pending tax dues. ​
