When the lockdown was announced, Rakshika Raj’s first concern was about some tribal families in Chengalpet, whom she had met several years ago. Without a proper job or even ration cards, she was worried over their survival during the lockdown. And that’s when Rakshika, the first nurse to register under the third gender category, began raising cash and kind to help them.
