Since lockdown, Chennai sees 30% less garbage

After the lockdown announced last week, waste generation in the city has decreased by around 30%, official statistics released by the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) shows. Usually, around 5,100 tonnes of waste is generated in the city daily.
