The state government's attempt to end the ongoing agitations against CAA, NPR and NRC by holding consultations with Muslim organisations on Saturday failed to yield positive results. At the meeting convened by chief secretary K Shanmugam, Muslim leaders demanded that the state pass a resolution in the assembly asking the Centre to withdraw CAA and not carryout NPR exercise.
