Bubble tops in short supply as 1,700 firms continue strike in Chennai

Bubble tops – a common sight in many households in the city – were either not available or were being sold at double the cost as supply dwindled. On Thursday, more than 1,700 drinking water packaging units across the state had begun a strike demanding clearer guidelines from the Centre and state government.
