Air India Express plane hits Trichy airport compound wall, lands safely in Mumbai

The tyres of a Dubai-bound Air India Express plane with 130 passengers onboard hit the compound wall of the Trichy international airport while the aircraft was taking off from here around 1.20am on Friday, damaging an ILS (instrument landing system) antenna and a small portion of the westside wall.
