The Sri Lankan navy detained 17 Tamil Nadu fishermen for allegedly poaching in the territorial waters of the island nation. The fishermen -- 11 from Ramanathapuram district and six from Pudukkottai district -- were detained on Monday night and on Tuesday morning.
