TN registers 1,668 new Covid cases, 24 deaths

Fresh Covid-19 cases in Tamil Nadu dropped to 1,668 on Friday compared to 1,702 on Thursday, although 14 districts reported a marginal increase in cases. The 24 deaths added to the state registry on Friday took the death tally to 34,663. At the end of the day, when the cases tally touched 25.97, there were 19,621 people still under treatment for the viral infection.
