Cops await DMK’s poll promise on promotions

A large number of police personnel from southern districts who have completed 20 years of service are awaiting the state government’s announcement for speedy promotions, which was one of the election manifestos of the DMK. Constables have urged the government to formulate the new promotions rules at the earliest.
