The state social welfare and women’s empowerment department is all set to crack down against child marriages. With a report of Child Rights and You (CRY) indicating high instances of child marriages in certain pockets of the state, minister P Geetha Jeevan has instructed officials to take stringent legal action including booking the family members and relatives of the victims of child marriages.
