Tamil Nadu added 5,755 Covid-19 cases and 150 deaths on Friday, when 8,132 people were discharged from the active cases registry. At the end of the day, when there were 47,318 people under treatment for the viral infection, the cumulative case tally crossed 24.5 lakh and the toll touched 32,051.
