I-Day: TN govt requests public to stay at home

In view of the still raging Covid-19 pandemic, the government on Thursday requested the public not to attend Independence Day events including the one where chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami will hoist the tricolour at Fort St George. Police also announced traffic diversions for some areas in Chennai on Saturday.
