Chennai: Veggie rates soar as rain hits arrivals

A recent spell of rain in neighbouring Karnataka and parts of Tamil Nadu has spiked the prices of five vegetables due to their arrival at the temporary vegetable market in Thirumazhisai being affected. While drumstick witnessed a sharp increase, the rates of a few vegetables have increased by Rs 5-10 per kilogram. However, the prices of other vegetables remain the same.
