Chennai: Crackdown stepped up to check violators

Determined to stop people, particularly motorists, coming on to the roads for frivolous reasons, police have decided to step up their crackdown and block off arterial stretches. On Anna Salai, key spots like Chinnamalai junction in Saidapet, Gemini flyover and near the Anna statue opposite Wallajah Salai have been cordoned off in the afternoons.
