College students to head 2 Tamil Nadu panchayats

Two young women have triumphed in the rural local body elections. Winning with a margin of 210 votes in the Kattinaikanthotty village panchayat in Krishnagiri district, 21-year-old J Sandhiya Rani has become the youngest woman village panchayat president in the state. In Tiruvarur district, R Subitha, a 22-year-old BBA graduate was elected president of Poosalangudi panchayat in Thiruthuraipoondi union.
