SC orders eviction of squatters from MRTS land

Ending a quarter century-long legal battle between Southern Railway and encroachers of 4.87 acres of public land in Velachery worth more than Rs 200 crore, the Supreme Court on Friday ordered the encroachers to vacate the land within six weeks.
