TN: Tahsildar killed, 4 hurt in road accident

A 50-year-old tahsildar in Pudukkottai district of Tamil Nadu was killed in a road accident while returning to Viralimalai town after completing inspections over alleged illegal river sand mining reported near Keeranur. Four employees of the revenue department were injured as the official vehicle of Viralimalai tahsildar crashed into a roadside tree after sustaining a tyre burst in the early hours of Saturday.
