Chennai: 60% more metro commuters in 1 month

The opening of the new line in north Chennai and slashing of ticket prices has helped boost CMRL patronage by more than 60%. While 13.4 lakh people travelled on metro trains in January, footfalls shot up to nearly 21 lakh in February.
