Prices soar as fewer fishermen set out to sea

Fish lovers in the city had it tough on Sunday when the retail prices of most of their favourite varieties rose to more than three times last week's rates. The reason, say fishermen, is because fewer boats went out to sea during the extended weekend due to Pongal holidays leading to a reduced catch.
