Chennai: Man kills sister for hiding booze

A 50-year-old Sri Lankan Tamil murdered his sister suspecting that she concealed a liquor bottle, at Valasaravakkam on Friday night. Police said Guhadasan attacked his mother and nephew too when they tried to prevent him from attacking his sister. They arrested Guhadasan. A police officer said Guhadasan was under the influence of alcohol. The deceased R Tharageshwari, a widow from Sri Lanka, was staying at a rented house in Velan Nagar with her mother S Vedanayaki, 81, and son R Athishan, said police.
