Tamil Nadu: Gale leaves 68 painted storks dead

The gale that uprooted many trees in the Koonthankulam bird sanctuary in Tirunelveli district on Monday evening has left 68 painted storks – including 65 chicks – dead as the nests fell down when the trees on which they were perched got uprooted.
