4 cops transferred for taking Rs 80k from trader

Police commissioner A K Viswanathan has placed four policemen, including a sub-inspector, under suspension after it was confirmed that they demanded Rs 80,000 bribe from a trader at Triplicane. They were transferred to the vacancy reserve after the issue surfaced on Tuesday.
