1,500 teachers who haven’t cleared TET to be axed

The Tamil Nadu directorate of school education has decided to sack 1,500 teachers from governmentaided schools as they have not cleared the teacher eligibility test (TET) before the March 31 deadline. These teachers attempted the exam four times but failed.
