Cops suspect insider behind highway heist, 4 held

The Kancheepuram police suspect the role of insiders in the highway heist of April 28, when a gang posing as idol wing cops made away with Rs 12 crore in diamonds and gold jewellery after intercepting a car carrying employees of Chennai businesswoman and idol theft accused Kiran Rao, who were returning with the jewellery they had exhibited at an event in Madurai.
